Tyumen State University is proud to host a unique opportunity for international and Russian students interested in learning about the oil and gas in Russia. This English-taught interdisciplinary Summer School, open to students from all backgrounds, provides students with a diverse look at the complexities of the oil and gas industry from within the heart of Russia’s oil-producing regions. 
The programmes’ theoretical coursework addresses subjects of international cooperation within the energy sector, the economic history of Russia’s Tyumen region, business and management, and cross-cultural communication.
Students are also encouraged to take courses in the Russian language, with classes of varying levels of difficulty offered across campus. 
Outside of class, Tyumen State University organizes an all-encompassing cultural programme for students, including Russian traditional celebrations, festivals, sporting events, as well as travel regional travel opportunities. Likewise, the university puts on workshops with industry experts and coordinates an (2 days) internship programme.

  • Economic History of Western Siberia 
  • Global Environmental Management 
  • International Cooperation in the Energy Sector 
  • Natural Resources of the Russian Northern Regions 
  • Oil and Gas Business in Russia 
  • Social and Economic Potential of Oil and Gas Development in the Northern Regions
The programme includes workshops with industry experts and industry shadowing days, extensive cultural programme, incl. visits to neigbouring cities.
